January Sales Style Edit

When I told myself I wouldn't go shopping with my Christmas money I knew I was lying to myself, I mean who wants to put a present towards their student overdraft - not me. I've managed to pick up some pretty impressive bargains over the last few weeks so my desire to shop has been satisfied for a short while.

So, lets talk about hats. I love hats, I buy hats, I never wear hats. That's the cycle a hat goes through every time I buy one but this lovely fedora was only £4 from Primark and for that price it doesn't really matter if I never wear it again. I know that's not a motto to live by and probably one of the reasons I never have any money but I've actually already worn it again - yay! I have a big floppy hat from Primark that I picked up about two years ago and it's still going strong so I feel like I know this one will last well too.

I planned to quickly nip into Primark to waste time before my genius bar appointment at the Apple store and because it was early in the morning and absolutely pouring down with rain the whole of Newcastle was practically empty. Naturally I had to take advantage and actually shop whilst Primark was quiet so next I spotted this coat, which I can only describe as a teddy-bear coat. An absolute bargain at only £10 and I've worn it every day since, it's SO snuggly - I want to live in it.

My favourite sale purchase is 100% this suede skirt from Zara. I'd already eyed it up before Christmas but as the suede is real leather it was £50 that I just couldn't afford to part with. On boxing day I found this one skirt in a size 10 hiding in the rails and knew it was meant to be, plus it was now £29.99. I've worn it loads already and you can't really go wrong with a black skirt can you?

I've been lusting after a Whistles clutch for such a long time but £85 when you're living on a budget isn't justifiable. You can imagine how super happy I was to find this online for £22.50 (when I say "I found" I mean someone in the office was about to order it so two more of us jumped on the bandwagon). It's the perfect size to take out for dinner on an evening and also comes with a long gold chain if you wanted to wear it over your shoulder.

Coat and Hat - Primark
Top - Topshop (a few years ago, sorry!)
Boots and Skirt - Zara
Clutch bag - Whistles
Rings - Pandora and vintage
Bracelets - Pandora and Monica Vinader

Let me know in the comments if you picked up any great deals in the sales this year!

I recently bought a Whistles bag and I am in LOVE with it, I had to pay the full 85 pounds but I don't regret it one bit :)
