#LeedsXmasMeet

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to my first proper "blogging event" by the lovely Rhianna (Robowecop) who I have actually known for many, many years during primary and secondary school. I hadn't been blogging long at all but Rhianna was super lovely and signed me up for a spot so I could come along and mingle with some new people whilst getting in the Christmas spirit.

The event was last Saturday at the Black Swan in Leeds, I've never been before but it was a great venue with a really chilled vibe. The event was on the top floor with it's own bar (always a winner) and was kitted out with lots of lovely Christmas decorations as well as a cupcake decorating station, Christmas selfie corner and a huge table of amazing raffle prizes.

When I arrived I headed straight over to say hello to Rhianna as I was by myself which is pretty daunting when you enter a room of about forty women you haven't met! Then I found a spot at one of the tables and got chatting to the lovely Beverley, Kathryn, Dany, Billie and Jennie before heading to the bar for a much needed G&T.

The only rule  of the day was a Christmas dress code which resulted in a room full of sparkle and jumpers and it really eliminated the pressure of feeling overdressed/underdressed. The best outfit was a full-on Christmas tree dress (baubles and tinsel included) which won a well deserved little prize. I have to add here that the raffle prizes on offer were so impressive! Cloud 9 straighteners for a start and lots of gorgeous skincare sets (hopefully you can see a few of them below but the picture quality isn't great due a mixture of the lighting and my lack of camera skills).

After the initial fear of being a newbie I had such a great day chatting to other local bloggers and being able to put faces to names. Rhianna did an amazing job organising the event and all of the money raised (which was over £350) was donated to the Young Minds charity - a brilliant and worthy cause. Even though I didn't win anything in the raffle I still walked away with a big bag of goodies including blk. water, Kerastase hair samples, some mini Witch skincare products (I'm currently using them and love them!) and loads more.

I hope to see the lovely bloggers I met at some point in the future - let me know if you were there too as I didn't get a chance to say hi to everyone. For now, here are a few pictures of the day.. Enjoy!
